Also hier funktioniert das 64bit Gears leider nicht. Das Problem tritt auf einer brandneuen Ubuntu 9.10 64bit Installation auf. Die Fehlermeldung lautet:
Erweiterung inkompatibel
“Google Gears” konnte nicht installiert werden, da es nicht mit Firefox-Build-Typ (Linux_x86-gcc3) kompatibel ist. Bitte informieren Sie den Autor des Add-ons über dieses Problem.

Hm halt mein Fehler. Habe hier die falsche CD bei der Neuinstallation des Testsystems verwendet. Das ist 32bit. Auf 64bit läuft es. Danke
